Working and cycling together – Polish-Czech cooperation for the cycle path in the Izery Mounatians. We live in Izery Mountain region which borders with Czech Republic. We share common history, environmental features and social issues. Because of this, we find it crucial to strengthen the cooperation between the people from both sides of the border. Together with the association “Lunaria” from Jindrichowice we came up with the project of new cycle path which will be based on the old and out of use railway truck, and will join Jindrichowice (CZ) and Wolimierz (PL). Last summer we conducted the informative campaign about it. The plan for the coming summer is to get people involved, start working group and work together to prepare the base for the future infrastructural works. In so doing we want to integrate the youth from both sides of the border and give them tools to start acting as the hosts of the place no matter if coming from Poland or Czech Rep. For this we will organize an international workcamp with youth coming from different countries. Together with the local youth (PL and CZ) the participants of the workcamp will make the preparatory work on the old railway truck (cutting small trees away, raking, colleting rubbish). What’s important this will create a situation where the young people from the region will become the host of the project and the area. Acting as guides local youngsters will come up with the ideas where to take their international guests and what interesting from the area to show them, will organize a local tour. Apart from this, the whole party (the local youth (CZ and PL) and the participants of the workcamp) will visit both associations and will get to know the members and their ecofarms and artistic |

Stowarzyszenie “Unia Izerska” zaprasza wszystkich zainteresowanych udziałem w projekcie dotyczącym powstania ścieżki rowerowej pomiędzy Stacją Wolimierz a Jindrichowicami pod Smrkiem na SPOTKANIE ORGANIZACYJNE, które odbędzie się na Stacji Wolimierz (Pobiedna, ul. Dworcowa 73) 28.04.2012 o godz. 16.00. Zapraszamy wszystkich, którzy mają w sobie zapał do działań wspólnych, zapalonych rowerzystów i miłośników kolei izerskiej, osoby ciekawe świata i nowych ludzi.
Wszystko zaczęło się w 2010 roku od wystawy objazdowej i konferencji pt. „Szlakiem dawnej Kolei Izerskiej” z czeskim stowarzyszeniem „Lunaria”, wtedy podjęliśmy temat nieczynnych nasypów kolejowych i ewentualnych pomysł na ich zagospodarowanie. W zeszły roku również razem z „Lunaria” oraz z gminą Leśna promowaliśmy ideę uruchomienia ścieżki rowerowej pomiędzy Stacją Wolimierz a Jindrochowicami. Również tegoroczne działania maja nas do tego celu przybliżyć.
W tym roku w ramach projektu oczyszczony zostanie nieczynny nasyp kolejowy, który w chwili obecnej przerośnięty jest samosiejkami i krzakami. Oprócz tego planujemy wspólne wycieczki, ogniska, zabawy. Chcemy zorganizować również czeską grupę aktywistów na rzecz ścieżki rowerowej, bo wspólnie możemy zdziałać więcej. Dodatkowo pomagać nam będą wolontariusze z międzynarodowego obozu.
